what Kutmo is

About

Kutmo is a browser-based tool that finds the moments worth keeping in a long video and exports the cut points to your editor of choice. Drop in a clip, pick a mode, hit Detect, and walk away with cuts ready for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

Who it's for

Editors and creators who shoot static-camera footage: interviews, lectures, security footage, sports, painting and craft sessions, gameplay recordings, podcasts with a webcam. Anything where the camera doesn't move much and the boring parts outnumber the good ones.

How it works

Kutmo runs entirely in your browser. There's no upload step. The video file you drop in stays on your machine the whole time.

  • Motion detection — watches the picture and finds the moments when something actually happens.
  • Silence detection — listens to the audio and finds where it drops below your threshold.
  • Combined modes — mix the two for "trim dead air" or "highlight reel" cuts.
  • Five export formats — Premiere XML, FCPXML, FCPXML bundle, DaVinci-tuned FCPXML, and a trimmed MP4.

Privacy posture

Because Kutmo doesn't upload your video, we can't see it, scan it, train on it, or accidentally leak it. We don't run a transcription service, a content filter, or any kind of cloud rendering. The only data that touches our servers is your sign-in and, for Pro users, your subscription record.

Read the privacy policy for the specifics on what we do collect and why.

Who's behind it

Kutmo is built by Volodymyr Krytskyy and operated by CryptSky LLC. Questions, bug reports, and feature requests all go through the contact page.

Pricing

Kutmo Pro is $4.99/month or $49/year for unlimited detection runs. There's no cap on video length at any tier, the first 2 detection runs need no account at all, and a free account adds 5 more — exporting a finished run is never metered. See pricing for the full breakdown.
